1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.

2. Description of Services

CV RESET provides AI-powered resume and career-document optimization services designed to help users improve their resumes and related materials for specific job applications and markets.

Our Services include, but are not limited to:

• Resume/CV analysis and optimization
• Keyword matching and alignment with job descriptions
• Content improvement and rewriting suggestions
• Format and layout guidance to improve clarity and professionalism
• ATS (Applicant Tracking System) compatibility checks
• Generation and optimization of cover letters based on your CV and job descriptions
• Scoring and feedback on how well your CV and/or cover letter matches a given job description
• Access to different resume and cover letter templates (free and paid tiers)
• Multi-language interface support for an international user base

We may add, modify, or remove features from time to time.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of our Services, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account
• Take responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to refuse registration or to close accounts at our discretion in accordance with these Terms.

4. Subscription and Payments

CV RESET offers both free and paid subscription plans (including, where applicable, region-based pricing and different levels of usage limits).

By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:

• You authorize us (and/or our third-party payment processors) to charge the applicable fees to your designated payment method.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the then-current rate unless canceled before the renewal date in accordance with the cancellation process provided in your account settings.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.
• All payments are processed securely through Authorize.net, a trusted PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Your credit card information is encrypted and never stored on our servers.
• We reserve the right to change our pricing, billing practices, and subscription tiers with reasonable notice. Any changes will not apply retroactively to the current billing period but will take effect upon renewal or new subscription.
• Some plans may include usage limits (for example, number of CV optimizations, cover letters, or AI interactions per billing period). Exceeding these limits may require an upgrade to a higher plan or may temporarily restrict access to certain features until the next billing cycle.

You are responsible for all taxes associated with your subscription and use of the Services, other than taxes based on our income.

5. User Content

Our Services allow you to upload, submit, and share content such as resumes, CVs, cover letters, job descriptions, and other related materials ("User Content").

By providing User Content, you grant CV RESET a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, copy, modify, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of:

• Providing, operating, maintaining, securing, and improving our Services
• Developing and enhancing features that help you optimize your career documents
• Complying with legal obligations and enforcing these Terms

We will not sell your User Content to third parties.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to provide your User Content and grant the above license.
• Your User Content does not infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
• Your User Content does not violate any applicable laws or regulations.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of your User Content.

6. AI-Generated Content

Our Services use artificial intelligence technologies to analyze, transform, and optimize your User Content.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content is based solely on the information and instructions you provide, combined with patterns learned by the AI models.
• The accuracy, relevance, and quality of the optimizations and suggestions depend on the quality and completeness of your inputs (your CV, job description, preferences, etc.).
• CV RESET does not independently verify the factual accuracy of AI-generated content, including your qualifications, employment history, or any other claims.
• You remain fully responsible for reviewing, editing, verifying, and approving all AI-generated content before using it for any purpose (including job applications, professional networking, or submissions to third parties).
• AI-generated suggestions may be incomplete, out of context, or unsuitable for your specific situation; you should treat them as suggestions and not as professional, legal, or HR advice.
• We do not guarantee job placement, interview invitations, hiring outcomes, or any specific career results from using the Services.

Some AI features may rely on third-party AI infrastructure or providers. We take reasonable steps to ensure such providers maintain appropriate security and privacy practices, but we do not control their internal data handling policies beyond our contractual arrangements. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.

7. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

• Violating any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
• Infringing, misappropriating, or violating the intellectual property or other rights of CV RESET or any third party.
• Uploading or submitting false, misleading, fraudulent, or defamatory information in your User Content.
• Using the Services to impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Attempting to access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Services or our systems.
• Interfering with, disrupting, or attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services or any related network.
• Engaging in automated or bulk access, scraping, or data mining of the Services without our prior written consent.
• Circumventing or attempting to circumvent any access or usage limits that apply to your subscription plan.
• Sharing your account credentials with others, reselling or sublicensing your account, or otherwise allowing others to access the Services using your account.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action (including terminating or suspending your account) in response to violations of this section or these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, templates, software, and underlying technology, are owned by CV RESET or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or by written consent from us, you may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise exploit any part of the Services.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Services, except as permitted by law.
• Use any trademarks, service marks, or trade dress of CV RESET without our prior written permission.

You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the license you grant to us under Section 5.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CV RESET and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, partners, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Services.
• Any conduct or content of any third party on or via the Services.
• Any content obtained from the Services (including AI-generated content).
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or User Content.

In no event shall our total liability for all claims relating to the Services exceed the amount you have paid to CV RESET for the Services in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100), whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

Without limiting the foregoing, we explicitly disclaim any warranties of:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content (including AI-generated output)

We do not warrant that the Services will:

• Be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Meet your expectations regarding job opportunities, interviews, or career outcomes
• Be free from viruses or other harmful components

You use the Services at your own risk.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CV RESET and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, partners, and licensors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) that arise from or relate to:

• Your use of or access to the Services
• Your User Content
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another person or entity

We reserve the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which you are required to indemnify us, and you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claims.

12. Termination

We may terminate, suspend, or restrict your account and access to the Services, in whole or in part, at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if we believe that:

• You have violated these Terms or any applicable law.
• Your conduct may cause harm to other users, CV RESET, or third parties.
• Your account is inactive for an extended period, as defined by our internal policies.
• Continuation of your access is no longer commercially or technically viable for us.

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Services will immediately cease.
• We may, but are not obligated to, retain your User Content for a period or delete it in accordance with our data retention policies and applicable law.

You may also terminate your account at any time through your account settings. Certain obligations (such as payment of outstanding fees and obligations under Sections 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, and any other provisions which by their nature should survive) will survive termination.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by:

• Emailing you at the address associated with your account, and/or
• Posting a notice on our website or within the Services.

Unless otherwise specified, modified Terms will become effective upon posting. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Services.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and any disputes arising out of or relating to them or the Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which CV RESET is established, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

The choice of law does not affect any mandatory consumer protection provisions that may apply under the laws of your country of residence.

15. Third-Party Services and Integrations

The Services may integrate with or rely on third-party services, including but not limited to:

• Payment processors and billing providers
• Cloud infrastructure and AI model providers
• Analytics, logging, and monitoring tools

Your use of such third-party services may be subject to additional terms and privacy policies provided by the respective third parties. CV RESET is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services, nor for any damages or losses arising from your use of or reliance on them.
