The Death of the Generic Cover Letter
"To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to apply for..."
Stop.
If your cover letter starts like this, it's likely being ignored. In 2025, recruiters want authenticity and specific value, not templates.
The Hook
Start with a strong opening line. Mention a specific project the company did that you admired, or a mutual connection.
Example: "When I saw that [Company] launched the new [Product], I knew I had to apply..."

The "Why You"
Connect your past achievements directly to their current problems.
- "You need someone to scale sales. At my last job, I..."*
The "Why Them"
Show you've done your research. Why this company specifically?
Keep it Short

- The Value (Your Pitch)
